Image Rotator
Rotate by any angle
What is Image Rotator?
Rotate any image by 90°, 180°, 270°, or any fine-grained angle between 0 and 359°. Uses high-quality canvas rendering that automatically enlarges the output canvas for non-right-angle rotations so no content gets clipped. Handy for fixing sideways phone photos, straightening scanned documents, or creating angled layouts for design work.
How do I use Image Rotator?
- Drop an image onto the upload zone.
- Click a 90°, 180°, or 270° preset, or drag the angle slider for any other angle.
- Use the ⟳ / ⟲ buttons to nudge the rotation by ±90°.
- Click Download to save the rotated image.
When should I use Image Rotator?
Rotate when the orientation is wrong. If you need to mirror an image (left-right or top-bottom), use Image Flipper. For a full freeform transform, crop first, then rotate.
Can I rotate by an arbitrary angle, not just 90°?
Yes — use the angle slider for any value between 0° and 359°. For tilts between right angles, the canvas is automatically enlarged so no content is clipped.
Does rotating lose quality?
Right-angle rotations (90°, 180°, 270°) are lossless. Arbitrary angles require resampling, which is very slightly lossy — but the canvas uses high-quality filtering so the result looks sharp.
Why does my rotated image have a bigger frame than the original?
Non-right-angle rotations need extra space to fit the tilted image. We expand the canvas so nothing is cropped; you can re-crop the output if you want to remove the letterboxing.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser. Your files never leave your device, and there is no server component for this tool.
