What is Background Remover?
Remove the background from any photo automatically, isolating the main subject (a person, product, pet, or object) onto a transparent canvas. Runs a segmentation model entirely in your browser via WebAssembly — the image never leaves your device. Output is a transparent PNG ready for product mockups, profile photos, social-media stickers, or design composites.
How do I use Background Remover?
- Drop a photo onto the upload zone.
- Wait a few seconds while the segmentation model runs locally.
- Preview the cut-out subject on a checkered transparent canvas.
- Click Download to save the transparent PNG.
When should I use Background Remover?
Background Remover is for full subject isolation. To crop rectangularly instead, use Image Cropper. For just a colour or tone tweak, use Color Adjuster. The AI Background Remover is the same engine — pick whichever URL users search for.
What kind of subjects work best?
People, products on a contrasting background, and pets segment cleanly. Hair, fur edges, and translucent objects (glass, water) are the hardest cases — manual touch-up may be needed for those.
Can I get back a non-transparent (white-background) version?
The tool outputs transparent PNG by default. To put the subject onto a solid colour, drop the result into Image Watermark or any image editor that supports layers.
How is this different from AI Background Remover?
Same engine, same output. Both URLs exist for different search habits — pick whichever you found first.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser. Your files never leave your device, and there is no server component for this tool.
