Paraphraser
Reword with different tone
Paraphraser is on the roadmap. In the meantime, explore the other ai-powered.
What is Paraphraser?
Rewrite a sentence or paragraph in a different tone — formal, casual, professional, friendly, concise — while preserving the meaning. Useful for adapting a draft for a specific audience, varying repeated phrasing in long content, or de-cliché-ing copy. Runs in-browser via a small language model; nothing is uploaded.
How do I use Paraphraser?
- Paste the source text into the input panel.
- Pick a target tone or rewrite style.
- Click Paraphrase.
- Copy the rewritten version.
When should I use Paraphraser?
Paraphraser changes wording. To shorten rather than rewrite, use Text Summarizer. For grammar / spelling checks specifically, a dedicated proofreader is a better fit. For translation between languages, this tool stays inside one language — use a translator instead.
How is this different from a translator?
A translator converts between languages. Paraphraser stays within one language and changes wording — for example, the same English sentence in formal vs casual style. For language-to-language conversion, use a dedicated translator.
Can I keep specific phrases unchanged?
Wrap them in quotes — the tool tries to preserve quoted text verbatim. For technical terms, brand names, or product references, this preserves consistency across rewrites.
Does it count as plagiarism if I paraphrase someone else's work?
Paraphrasing without citation is still plagiarism in academic contexts — the underlying ideas need attribution regardless of wording. Use this tool to clarify your own writing, not to disguise someone else's.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser. Your files never leave your device, and there is no server component for this tool.
