When should I use Currency Converter?
Currency Converter handles real-world money. For physical units (distance, weight, etc.), use Unit Converter. For crypto-specific conversions, this tool uses fiat rates only — a dedicated crypto ticker is a better fit.
How up-to-date are the exchange rates?
Rates are fetched on page load from the European Central Bank reference series — updated once per working day. They are indicative mid-market rates; your bank or card issuer will apply a spread.
Which currencies are covered?
33 active ECB reference currencies (USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, AUD, CAD, CHF, CNY, and many more). Exotic currencies not on the ECB list are not supported here.
Does it work offline?
Once rates are fetched, yes — conversions use the cached table until you refresh. For up-to-the-second pricing, reload the page.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser. Your files never leave your device, and there is no server component for this tool.
