What is QR Code Scanner?

How do I use QR Code Scanner?
- Pick "From image" or "Camera".
- For image mode: drop a QR-code image.
- For camera mode: allow camera access and point it at a QR code.
- The decoded content appears on completion.
When should I use QR Code Scanner?
QR Scanner decodes QR codes. For other barcode symbologies (EAN, UPC, Code128), a dedicated reader is needed; we don't ship one yet. To generate a QR code, use QR Generator.

Can I scan from my camera or an uploaded image?
Both. Grant camera permission for a live scan, or drop in a photo / screenshot of a QR code.
What data does the QR contain?
Usually a URL, but also plain text, Wi-Fi credentials, vCards, email links, calendar events, phone numbers, and geo coordinates. The tool parses each type and shows the structured fields.
Is the scanned data sent anywhere?
No. Decoding runs entirely in your browser via jsQR; the camera frame or uploaded image never leaves your device.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser. Your files never leave your device, and there is no server component for this tool.
