Is there a page or size limit?
No. No document limit, no page limit, no file size limit and no account. Those caps exist on other services because each document costs them server time; here the work happens on your own machine, so there is nothing to ration.
Is my document uploaded?
No. The PDF is read in this browser tab and the summary is produced there too. That is the whole point of the tool: the documents worth summarising are usually the ones you should not be uploading, such as contracts, filings and medical letters.
My PDF produced nothing. Why?
It is almost certainly a scan, meaning a picture of text with no text layer to read. The tool detects this and says so rather than returning an empty summary. Run the PDF through the OCR tool first and summarise its output.
What does "summarise each page separately" do?
It produces one summary per page instead of one for the whole document. That suits filings, contracts and reports where sections matter individually and a single overall summary would flatten them together. Pages without enough text are skipped rather than failing the run.
How does it handle a very long document?
For the extractive engine, length is not a problem: every sentence is ranked against every other. For the on-device model there is an input limit, so the text is summarised in sections and those summaries summarised again. The result panel tells you when that happened, because a summary of summaries loses more detail than a direct one.
Can I trust the figures in the summary?
When sentences are quoted exactly, yes, because they are copied verbatim from your document. When your browser's on-device model writes the summary, treat figures as a pointer and check them against the original, as you would with any generated text.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser. Your files never leave your device, and there is no server component for this tool.
